Touch Pro 2 & Tom Tom

I have the Touch Pro 2 on a F&C plan with a free unlimited add on. I do not get the sprint navigation with my plan. What is the best application or cab file I can get to get gps services with out changing my data plan? I read there is something you can do with a Tom Tom GPS. I just bought the Tom Tom XL-325 S. Can anyone help me?

+1 on the Garmin XT.

It's been great! You can update maps, voices, the little car thing that displays where you are. It's really a treat and quite simple to use.

I have a TP2 and TomTom installed on a 6.5 ROM. It worked great under 6.1 but now that I upgraded to 6.5 I get so much GPS lag it is unusable.

i use tomtom also, and the lag was pretty bad. But :) i had stsrted a thread here sometime back, that fixed the gps lag. After doing that, tomtom has me in the actual place im at, not a block and half behind. The fix is an easy cab install, and its worked great for me. sorry to be kinda off topic. love tomtom :)

You're on a 6.5 Rom with native kernel/drivers? I think that is what is doing me in. TomTom Navigator for WinMo was a 6.1 app and seems to be discontinued.

Installed IGo8 on the same phone and it runs w/o lag. Looks like I have a working alternative that lets me keep 6.5!
