Looking for a cab builder for Vista
Does anyone know of a cab builder that will work with Vista? I tried using WinCE cab manager but it says it needs additional downloads which still does not make it work. I tried QuickCab 2.0 but I do not understand how it works. I used a XP computer at work and WinCE worked just fine. I have done a lot of googling for this. So does anyone have a suggestion?:angry7:

Re: Looking for a cab builder for Vista
This may sound stupid and you may already know this, but make sure your Vista install is fully up to date. When you run the updater, make sure you select custom install instead of automatic updates, so you get to see all the updates available. Auto update doesn't always install everything. And redd214 is right, do you have any more additional info about what it says you need to install/downloads. And if you are trying to import an .inf file to build the cab with, wince cab manager will not work. You have to purchase the software to use that feature. Hope that helps.

Sorry for the delay. I went grocery shopping with the wife...
I am running Vista 32 bit. It says I need Microsoft XML 4.0. Vista is set up for auto updates. |
