I just thought I'd share this new app. I found, with those of you who are craving Visual Voice Mail! Here it is and it's free!
***Fusion Voicemail Plus*** http://content.modaco.net/nedge2k/im...-2009_fvm2.jpg http://content.modaco.net/nedge2k/im...-2009_fvm3.jpg http://content.modaco.net/nedge2k/im...-2009_fvm4.jpg QUOTE Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0, a free, downloadable visual voicemail application by PhoneFusion, gives Windows Mobile phone users with wireless data and text messaging plans the ability to centralize all of their voicemail boxes and see—right on the device screen—a list of their voicemail messages. It also allows users to listen to voicemails directly from their phone. A new feature—exclusive to Windows Mobile users—is that for the first time mobile consumers can receive faxes right on their smartphone. Users can use their existing mobile number or register a new number to receive faxes. Another feature developed exclusively for Windows Mobile users is the ability to easily forward voicemails to any e-mail address or another Fusion Voicemail Plus mailbox. Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0 also integrates with the user’s address book and expands the ability to use touch screen gestures to navigate through messages. Fusion Voicemail Plus comes with many features, including:
I have also attached the cab below, although it could be Verizon specific, not sure. As they ask your carrier when you download, but I think that's just part of their registration/survey process. So this cab will probably work on all devices. |

yeah its awesome if you can get it to work... the customer service aka tech support absolutely sucks. they are too busy reading you a script thwy dont even bother to listen to what the question is. the only way i finally got it to work was by DEACTIVATING it. now it lets me receive calls and stills tells me when i have voicemails.

Does this offer transcription? That's the only feature I want. I never want to have to listen to voicemail again. I'm thinking of going with YouMail right now, but if this does transcribing, I might just switch.

Fusion Voicemail has been posted all over ppcgeeks. I Tried it out and ended up going back to youmail. you have to pay for the transcription

Or you could get Google Voice (with ALL features for free) and have it work flawlessly and do even more... Hmm, let me think about that for a bit. Nevermind, I already decided.

If you really want to keep it all seperated, you can make a seperate inbox just for GV incoming messages, and *pretend* its an app. But then, perhaps I'm missing what is so great about having yet another app for an extremely specific purpose? EDIT: Their mobile portal is pretty awesome too. |

whoever said it was right...this was posted awhile ago and I too used it for about a month or so. But to be honest even with out a free standing app I like my google voice alot more. Even more so because I use two live PPC's at all times so only select people get my GV number.

I personally prefer everything in one app instead of receiving an email or going to the site. Going to the email/site then clicking the attachment to play or save as then playing it in the media player. This is great for me for example ... im in the subway with zero signal. I reach a bridge or area with signal and the voicemail app would automatically start and download whatever messages I have. At the click of one button ill be playing my vmail literally without having to worry about if i should check and see if i happened to receive something. Edit: I also have gvoice, but less important people to me have that number. I usually check that vmail at the end of the week. |

Buddy- that don't make much sense.
If you say you have Push, you shouldn't be "checking if you missed anything". You can also have it download your attachments automatically. It would work pretty much exactly the way you are describing. I personally like the mobile portal mostly because I don't always want to download the messages to my phone. So I turn that feature off and just have email notifications. I can see who it is and know if it is important enough to call back right away. In fact, usually I don't even need to hear it because the transcribe feature works well enough that I can get the gist of what they are saying (thinking creatively about names helps). Then if I really need to hear it, I can click the link in my email and play it through the portal. If you want an "app" that constantly checks (how is this not a battery hog?) and downloads messages in the background so its ready when u are, it seems GV with Push mail makes the most sense... but, to each their own. I want a GV app for other reasons- calling out, for example. My voice mail needs appear to be taken care of. |
