WeatherPanel Freaks, Neon Meltdown, a new theme

Hi guys, this is my first time posting a WeatherPanel layout on your forum so I hope you enjoy it! I ususally just post them on the Weatherpanel site, but since I made this with small screen devices in mind I thought I would post here also. The QVGA version also includes a new 240 compliant Graphs detail page for the built in Weather Details display.

Neon Meltdown is a new full featured WeatherPanel theme designed for space limited Today screens at only 65 pixels high. It is both portrait and landscape compliant but will not display well in PocketBreeze with side tabs.

Designed to work well (hopefully) on small phone displays, it also has a refresh button which is green if updates are less than an hour old, yellow if less than 24 hours old and red if older than 24 hours.

You can get it here: http://pixel.citadel.org/weatherpane.../Neon_Meltdown

Note that while very colorful it is not as pink on a PPC display as it is in the screenshots. And for those of you who like the idea but find this too colorful, I have also included a layout called NeonOff.wpl which is basicly the same layout with a standard font and without the Neon effects.

The image below shows many of the (19?) different windows available with this layout.

Note that the custom temperature graphics on screen 3 are from Martian's Neon Fusion theme, all credit for them should go to him.

Hope you enjoy the theme, I know it is quite different from my usual layouts. :D

Please read the instructions posted on the WIKI and feel free to post any questions or comments here or on the Weatherpanel forum.

Not too shabby.

Thanks, it's probably too colorful for many, but it is quite versitile.

Very nice Ken. How big is the skin (pixels)?

Ken S 10-05-2007 11:27 AM

65 pixels high, about as small as I could make it and still include useful windows for graphs, details and radar.

Nice looking skin Ken...and thanks for posting with us!!!

Thanks Jamesus, I think I may be frightening peoples off with how bright this theme is. Complete change of pace from all my other WeatherPanel themes

Hey Ken - nice work! I wonder if Martian will stop by and say thanks? ;-)

The QVGA "WeatherPanel freaks" LOVE short themes...

Thanks storyr. And I'd love it if Martian did, but I kind of doubt it.
