Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
I use google through the active sync and I feel your pain! Whats this you're wanting tested? I may be interested.
|
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
Did you set up an exchange server on your own website. Neat
|
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
what exactly are you testing? we have exchange 2010 setup at my work, and i've been synced to for the past 2 months.
|
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
Yes I set up exchange on my own site. Testing server load and email load to see how it performs and if it syncs up with peoples phones ok. Had very limited budget to do this so the server is not very powerful, but for just email it seems to be performing well and I have been using it for a week or so now with zero issues. I am just looking for a few testers to give her a try and see if it performs well for them, the sync, getting and sending emails and such.

Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
Ill help you test as well...im running exchange 2010 and 2007 on vm's testing BES (blackberry enterprise server 5.0) count me in to if you want
|
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
You can set me up one if you have the time, I'd like to check out OWA 2010....
I run my own Exchange 2003 server, it's old hardware but, can handle about 45 people before you can notice. No 07 or 10 due to needing 64-bit hardware for my server :( |
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
I run exchange 2003 in laptop with 2gb of Ram running the BES (blackberry enterprise server) sql 2000 server 2003 DNS AD...runs great in a vm. Tho I have windows 7 ultimate im using XP as the primary OS pretty sure changing the primary OS to 7 would kill it.

is there an update from RIM for BES to work w/ 2010? I didn't see an officialy announcement. Would be great to get these last few BB users moved from our old exchange server to 2010. |

Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
any new functionality/features enabled on the windows mobile side by Exchange 2010?
--nomad_delta |
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
Does it now sync your SMS to the server for reading on Outlook clients too?
|
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
there is no sms option that im aware of unless its something set by the admin at the server level
|
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
the sms seems to be working, it does sync and i have sent a few via the owa. not sure the point of it all but its a new toy in 2010.
Thanks to the testers, think that's plenty now, seems like each connection does add to the memory load as expected but it is handling it very well. Your welcome to use the accounts as long as you like. Please let me know any issues as i tweak things still. |

I'm still trying to figure out how to push out the new outlook client to our synced phones. Anyone have any ideas on how to configure it server-side?

Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
Testers, thanks for your help. Let me know if you want to keep your account, or new name. If not ill delete them and do some clean up. Thanks again!

Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
I guess this is somewhat of a thread jack, but it is related and I need some help. My office uses exchange 2007. I have been conected to them for almost 2 years now and every so often my phone asks me to re-enter my password. My IT department says they have combed the server looking for something requiring me to re-enter my password on a periodic basis and there is nothing set that way (at least they don't think there is). The funny part, I can just hit "cancel" on my phone and then "sync" and it will sync right back up.
Odviously not a major issue, but quite annoying as the phone is supposed to stay connected (kind of the point in my opinion). Any advice you may have for me on my phone or my IT department as far as settings would be great! Thanks for you time and hope you server is working out for you! |
Re: testing exchange 2010 activesync
i'd like to keep mine Dave thanks
