A lot of apps coming out lately look much nicer. So long crappy wm5 looking apps. Finally devs are dressing up their apps instead of concentrating only on functionality.

hmm..

I think the creator of PockeTwit needs to jump all over this.. the gestures, the GUI.. too similar. Also, PockeTwit is freeware-- great, great freeware.

i think pocketwit has lost a lot of edge. It was cool when it came out because it was the only app to offer sliding panels, but the interface, imo, is too messy and annoying to use. moTweets and twikini are king now and i can see touchtwit being right there with them. twikini is 99 cents on marketplace, moTweets is $3.99 i think and has a full free version (ad supported) too. The free tag for pocketwit isnt a factor for me because i use twitter everyday and don't mind paying a few bucks for a good app.

From what i can see, it looks like what would happen if the makers of MoTweets took over developement of Pocketwit. Some kind of crazy Windows Twitter client lovechild.

anyone using TouchTwit...?
great interface great features etc

Issues I am having is
no sound notifications when i get new tweets
no way to have all twitter accounts to show up on the home screen like Pockettwit

I think it is a good app but needs to add some pockettwit features to be the leader...

Anyone else with input?

I've been using TouchTwit... still not sure that I like it better than PockeTwit. One of my main issues is also that it has no sound notifications for new tweets. It's not a bug, it just does not have this functionality! (Although it does have notifications for Mentions and Direct Messages.)

Still, I'm sticking with it as the developers seems to be updating it on a regular basis and I hope it continues to improve and add additional necessary features.

i noticed the no update sound too.. weird that they have it for mentions and messages though. I guess they figure that the status bar at the top is enough to let you know when the page refreshes. i wish they would speed it up a little on bootup.. i think they did, but it's still slow.

Any of you have multiple accounts? I have 3 i have to update and follow and with Pocketwit i can see all the tweets on the same screen with Touchtwit i have to switch accounts to see them.

Also if the fix the sounds for new messages, when you are not in an account, "not switched to it" is it still updating or only when you switch to that account.

I needs to update like Pocketwit and always be updating even if the accounts are not "switched on" on the main view screen.

I also think they need to blend all accounts on one screen...

Anyone else with thoughts on this??

i dont think most people want their accounts blended.... sounds confusing. how does retweeting and replying to people work if it's all blended in? all the other twitter clients have multiple account support, but you have to switch. that's how it should be imo.

Pocketwit blends

now on Touchtwit i like the way it works but if the other accounts dont cycle when they are in the background, not on the main screen, then that might not work, as how would youknow you have a new tweet, espcially since there are no sounds.

It needs to...
Cycle all accounts whether they are on the main screen or not and also sound trip for all new tweets so we know to check our twit.
