so it looks like shazam is getting new features from that ripped one we saw earlier this year and midomi has new features from the one ripped from the omnia ii.

So which one are you guys gonna roll with? Both will be bout 5 bucks. I'll update this post when i finally spot it on marketplace.

I like Midomi better, I'm still not gonna buy it from the marketplace because the version I have works just fine. :)

I have Midomi. But I might try Shazam too. I don't why I find these apps so intriguing.

Yes they do^ I used Shazam to ID songs from an ancient mix tape that I had been trying to identify for literally 10 years :)

well it looks like the pics have been updated for it... this is supposedly the winmo version, looks much diff than the one we had a year ago:

I want the shazam one, since my shazam stopped working a while back. Midomi is ok, but nowhere near as good as shazam.

midomi sucks, well the one thats out, i usually use shazam when im out on the road and like a song. the good thing about shazam is that i can text it to myself to dl it later at home.

It identified a song when I put it in Grab Mode instead of Song Mode and worked great.

microsoft's localization crap is annoying. shazam better show itself on marketplace next week for us in the united states.

Yeah midomi is crap, I have to try it in grab mode but the "guessing by hum/singing" is god awful

it rarely identifies anything. or for me atleast, shazam works 98% of the stuff to were midomi worked 50%. and like i said i could text myself the results of a song with shazam to download it later, thats a huge plus for me

has anyone seen shazam show up in the marketplace yet? i always see midomi listed as a featured app, but i still don't see shazam.

i believe u have to be in the UK as that's their base of operations... they said it would be pushed out to more countries soon after their launch but still not seeing it.
