Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0-From M$

Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0, a free, downloadable visual voicemail application by PhoneFusion, gives Windows Mobile phone users with wireless data and text messaging plans the ability to centralize all of their voicemail boxes and see—right on the device screen—a list of their voicemail messages. It also allows users to listen to voicemails directly from their phone. A new feature—exclusive to Windows Mobile users—is that for the first time mobile consumers can receive faxes right on their smartphone. Users can use their existing mobile number or register a new number to receive faxes. Another feature developed exclusively for Windows Mobile users is the ability to easily forward voicemails to any e-mail address or another Fusion Voicemail Plus mailbox. Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0 also integrates with the user’s address book and expands the ability to use touch screen gestures to navigate through messages.

Fusion Voicemail Plus comes with many features, including:
 •
The ability to synchronize multiple voicemail boxes to one location.

The ability to view and listen to voicemails right from your phone.

The ability to send SMS (text) messages to the person who left you the voicemail. Send the message directly from the Forward voicemails application to other users on the system or through e-mail.
 • True Caller ID Delivery on each voicemail. If the caller is not in your phonebook, Fusion Voicemail displays the information from the phone company as the caller ID.
Sounds good- Especially the fax part.

Would this work for my Alltel Voicemail? That is about the only reason I would want to use it really.

Re: Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0-From M$

Its BS... you have to be able to enable call forwarding for it to work and Sprint charges for that so it's a no go for me. I uninstalled.

I was hoping it was something like G-voice.

Dang!

Re: Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0-From M$

Im not writing it off yet-
Im thinking G-Voice to this thing and let it answer it.
or this:

Fusion Voicemail Plus is now offering a dedicated Fax Line for Fusion Voicemail Plus users at the low price of $1.50 per month.

This will give you a dedicated number that will receive unlimited incoming faxes, and send them to your email address on your cell phone.

Please contact Customer Support to activate the fax number for you.

Once activated, you will log into your web account and program an email address to which faxes will be sent. When someone faxes your new number, the fax will come through and a copy will be sent to your email address.

You will have to program your email to your cell phone device to receive the faxes on your phone.

Once the fax comes to your email you will see an attachment. Simply download a PDF viewer on your device and you will be able to view your faxes right on your phone!

** Please note that at this time ONLY Windows Mobile users will get the faxes to the applicationas long as the 'enable fax' bax is checked on your destination. Android users and Blackberry users WILL NOT have faxes sent to the Fusion Voicemail Plus application**

The fax thing is something I am interested in.

No, the app is free to use, but Sprint will charge you $.20/per minute to forward your missed calls to another voicemail (this app).

Re: Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0-From M$

If you are on Sprint, voicemail will cost because you need to forward your Sprint number to the voicemail app. For other carriers there is no charge. The app is free unless you desire the fax portion which has a monthly charge.

Hope that clears it up for ya'

What about Alltel?

Re: Fusion Voicemail Plus 2.0-From M$

It will depend on whether Alltel will allow you to forward your number with out charge. I thought, don't quote me, Sprint was the only carrier that charged for forwarded calls.

Call your customer service and ask them how to forward your calls to your personal voicemail service. I think it is called 'Forward if busy or no answer'. And be sure to ask if they charge.

Hope that helps.

So others know, this does not work with Cricket. This is due to Cricket only allows call forwarding within your local area.

Google Voice ... has anyone been successful setting up FVMP with their GV number? I get the "Invalid Number" notification when I try to set GV # as an option.

The only way that you can get it to work with GV is to have GV dial a # that is forwarded to our service. Our service requires the forwarding info in order to route the call.

Answers to other questions in this thread:

Sprint charges 20 cents per min, if you can get them to remove it (it IS possible) good luck.

Won't work in Canada because those carriers don't forward calls properly which is acutally a problem no in the US for Alltel subscribers since the Verzion purchase, they've screwed it up for both new and exsiting customers, don't know when they'll fix it.

The CURRENT version is 2.3 and is available directly from us by logging into the website and having the link sent to you. All other version should be deleted as they will be incompatible shortly. Altough, the app SHOULD be prompting to update if a new version is available.

PhoneFusion offers a One-number service that's better than GV, just not free and we've been doing it a helluva lot longer too. VVM is just a sub-set of that service.

Anything else?
