will there be an official 6.5 rom for 6.1 phones?
 

Is there going be an official ROM that people with pro1s and diamonds can flash to their phone released by htc? Just wondering or is it only for new phones coming after oct 6?

do you mean the software on the tp2 being released as a rom update for the tp anbd diamond 1?

I found this since I was personally wondering exactly what are the reasons to want to upgrade to 6.5 sooner rather than later - I didn't see this posted anywhere yet and found it useful - NOW, when/where is Verizon's upgrade to 6.5?

depends on your device, and whether or not your carrier chooses to release an update.

Older devices such as the Touch Diamond/Pro probably will not get an offical update.

Newer devices such as the Touch Pro2 and the Ozone/Snap will once carriers are done customizing the ROMS.

It all has to do with marketing and enticing you to buy a new device.

I doubt there will be offical 6.5 upgrades for older devices such as the TP1.

Carriers want you to buy new devices and WM 6.5 is a way to get you to buy something new.
