Is there an app that can map BT headset buttons to different functions?
Sadly, the Touch Pro 2 has some weird BT stack that doesn't map these buttons properly. So I'm hoping that there is some way to force these assignments back to something rational.
Does such an app exist? Or nearly as good, does anyone know how to alter the registry/etc to make this work? I'm dying here. |

There is an app over at XDA that changes your buttons to control pretty much whatever player you want. I cant find it right now, but if you go search for AVRCP, you should find what you need.

Re: Is there an app that can map BT headset buttons to different functions?
Well, I think I was using some customized modded BT stack for my Apache so it could do A2DP and AVRCP. It had poor performance mostly in that it took awhile to get it to connect properly to the headset every single time. But once you do that 30 second song and dance it worked in ALL programs that had play/pause capability. It worked in mortplayer and TCPMP for example and these were older versions of both programs.
Now I have this TP2 and I have to install this HTC Button app that I found on XDA JUST to get WMP to work. I've looked around and am having a hard time with this... If I can just get mortplayer to work with the headset buttons I'll call it a win. I tried some Russian program that was on XDA that was supposed to do it but it apparently uses mortscript which bugs on on this screen resolution... resulting in the app being unconfigrable. Anyway, any idea what the program was called? It's just I'm getting 600 hits when I run this search. |
