Mobile6.0Programs

So I deleted a program that came with the mogul mobile 6.0 operating system. I am told by HTC that the only way to recover it is a hard reset. Is there anywhere that lists the programs that came with mobile 6.0 so I can load only the one that is missing? In addition if I do need to do a hard reset where is the contacts file so I can just transfer it to a folder without syncing it. Thank you for your help.

Why wouldn't you want to sync ur contacts?

I would think that the CAB files for the original programs are residing in it's Extended ROM memory.

You should be able to unlock the ROM, find the CAB file in it, and launch the CAB file. Of course, I'm assuming that what you deleted was an executable program.

You should be able to search in this forum for an Extended ROM unlock utility and the "registry code" to re-lock it, when you're done.

Below is the Config.txt file that executes the cabs and exe files from Extended_ROM. As you can see it list location and file name needed, hope that helps. It would be great is we could document what each file actually does. Any help?

LOCK:Enabled
CPY1:\Extended_ROM\AddContact
CPY2:\Windows\AddContact
EXEC:\Windows\RUN_SPRINT_TSK.lnk
EXEC:\Extended_ROM\AddContacts.exe
CAB: \Extended_ROM\GetGL.CAB
CAB: \Windows\AudibleAir_SprintPPC.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\GroveMobile_pulgIn.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\MP_CVSDcpl_20070129.cab
CAB: \Extended_ROM\DefaultRingtone.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\AudioPara0330.sa.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\Files_GrooveMobile.CAB
CAB: \Windows\ondemand_6800_boot.arm.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\MoveLnk.sa.CAB
EXEC:\Windows\ChgScutAttri.exe
LOCK Disabled
RST: Reset

Which program did you delete?

The contacts file is PIM.vol in the main directory. You can also use a program like PPC PIM Backup from DotFred on XDA to backup your PIM data.
