I never did get a gps lock, though I use Garmin mobile, google maps, GPSToday, and many more gps apps without any issue.

Had the same happen to me just did a soft reset after the install and now it's working pefectly. Haven't used it much only drove around quickly during lunch but I'm liking what I see.

Downloaded and installed to the card. Installation took about 2 minutes though. Immediately started looking for GPS, found it at port 4, 9600. I then looked at the map and found the street next to where I am.

You might have an older version too. I used to get that in some of the alpha builds. I found if you launched google maps and initiated gps there then waze would kick in too. haven't had that problem in the most recent builds though.

Reminds me a bit like a more advanced Trapster. I don't think enough people use it in my area to make it worth the drain on my battery. It did let me know there was an accident 1500 miles away. Phew crisis averted! Is it me or does it feel like it was made for the iPhone first? These UI's bug me and why does it have it's own on screen keyboard?

Well if everyone looks at it like that then this app isn't going to get very far :). Personally I think it is worth running even just as a navigator and I'm amused by the idea of contributing to improve their maps just by driving around (which is also why I keep a charging cable in my car).

They are suppose to be working on limiting the range of the reports. More importantly the real idea besides letting you know what is up ahead is that it will automatically route you around it.

It was made for the iPhone first, then Android, and now WM and Symbian (it does annoy me how developers look to the iPhone first but ah well). As for the on screen keyboard - well not every phone has a physical keyboard.

It seems to run pretty well. Seems stable. Finger friendly. Lots of features. Twitter integration is...cool, I guess.
I think it's definitely worth a look.

how do you take pictures of your phone like that??? and then post them up.. can you help me??

I'm having sooo much fun with this app now, I see a road and have to turn down it if there are points to be had. I havnt seen a speed trap since installing it, but I am looking to report something, already created a new road.

Oh and thank goodness for car chargers, it's a must with this app, but I guess that goes without saying...not really for battery drain, it's I am turning 5 minute trips into 20 minute adventures. Going down different roads, driving past my location just for points...hahahahah.

you too...lol....there is no way I would use this for navigating right now, used it this weekend for a trip just to check it out and mannnn it was bad...it is more like a game with points..etc. Now i will report accidents/cops..etc that might help other drivers but that is all this app is good for at this time to me. 8)

Its fun if you know where you are going, want to collect some point and help fellow drivers.
