Uhh, no.

If your girlfriend knew you were "too busy" to remember her and just set up an application to send canned sappy text messages to her, I don't think she would "like it."

actually, she laughed at it. told her on the way home from work about this idea. girls don't care that it's as sincere or all that jazz, just that you're thinking about them, and going to all the trouble to set up a program with "the couple" or her in mind, then that's something. Same concept as flowers... what the hell do girls actually do with flowers? they don't replant them, they smell them once, maybe twice, put em in a vase if they're lucky and that's about it.

they don't care about the flowers or if they last a long time or even where you got them, they just care that you thought about them. same concept, albeit a little different...

Apples to oranges.

Your flowers example would be correct if you said you were too busy to buy your girlfriend flowers so you had someone else order them for you with pre-determined notes.

Besides, with that app, you aren't "thinking about them," you're having the app do the thinking for you.

well think about it. you DO have someone pre-ordering for them, the girlfriend. Chances are she has a favorite flower in a favorite color. Now, if you're a smart boyfriend you know what that is and order those. No real thinking involved in that. Now if you don't know the flower/color of her choice, everyone knows the best route to go is red or some variation of roses. It's like the "default" choice.

I do agree that my example is a stretch and probably not the easiest one to make, but the fact of the matter is they are similar. I guess my overall point isn't the route we take to make them happy, but that the end game being that they're happy.

In my opinion, girls don't get hung up on details, like guys do, and if they're happy at the end of the day, what happened around 2pm doesn't really matter, so long as at bedtime they go to sleep with a big smile on their face. It's about the results, and this app would provide them, even if they aren't sincere. Neither are flowers btw.

Just another useless tool we should be doing ourselves.. If you love him/her you should be texting and calling on your own... lmao....
