Re: CABIntegr (CAB file editor on PPC)

Sounds interesting, but I'm not sure how useful that would be with the more limited functionality of the PPC. Personally, I would prefer to do this type of thing on my PC.

I suppose it would be fine for something small though, like installing a registry edit or adding a file.

Yes, I agree. It's for those small tweaks that we may wanna try or do while on the go.

Although it is capable of more. There are only a limited amount of people out there, that are capable of utilizing its' abilities.

I just hope this will be part of the full sktools, as it already has much of this functionality, just not all bundled up nifty.

Actually, I was wondering awhile ago if something like this existed.
Sounds cool!!

What programs are available to edit a cab file? I have a cab that was created by someone else which works well, but I would like to alter the graphic in it.
Thanks

Iwat to replace the red png file with http://www.4shared.com/account/file/...e7_manila.html

That will also require editing a Manila file, not just a cab edit. There is a tutorial for doing that here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...53&postcount=4

When I edit cabs, I usually use MSCEInf (http://www.codeppc.com/telechargemen...nf/msceinf.htm) to view/extract it, and then cabwiz or quickcab to rebuild the cab.

Re: CABIntegr (CAB file editor on PPC)UPDATED

Thanks for your input banzaiwolfe. :)

The idea is simple. Replace a manilla file with another. But no matter what program I use (Resco, Total Commander, cfu-gui etc) the !@#$% manila file will not change. The red slider cab is the only thing that seems abke to alter the manila. This is why I would like to put the .png file I have posted above into a cab so that I can amend my slider from red to blue.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! ](*,)

Any help appreciated. Cheers
