How to change HTC Home primary number?

I've searched this forum and gone through the HTC tutorial, but can't figure out how to set a primary number for a contact. This was easy to do with all the other cell phones I have used. For example, if a contact has a mobile number, without going to the contact and specifically selecting another number, that is always the default number called.

I have a friend with a cell phone, but I always call her home number. I would like to add her home number to my HTC favorite contacts, but without a way to make the home number default, it always calls her cell phone.

To my knowledge, there is not a way with the home plug. You can either press and hold the contact which will bring up a list of all numbers for that contact or create a new contact for her with just her cell.

The other option is if you're running WM6, you can use the v2.0 plugin which allows you to select the phone number you wish to call when adding a contact. You can download it using my customizer (in my sig) or you can find it on XDA here.

Emunutz, thanks for the reply. Which file on XDA should I use: Kaiser.HTC.Home.v2.0.720719.cab.zip or Kaiser.HTC.Home.v2.0.720719.Schaps.Color.zip? I already have your customizer installed, but don't see a way to download the v2.0 plugin from within it. What are the steps to do that?

I will wait for your response before I install anything.

If you remove you Home Plugin all together than the Home customizer will install v2.0 if you are running WM6 on its own.....Once you run the Home customizer again it checks to see if the Home PLugin is installed and then those the rest...

I'm running Helmi's new WM6 on my Sprint PPC-6700, and the original HTC Home doesn't show in Remove Programs. Maybe that's the problem - that it's in ROM and not on the disk?!?

I installed Kaiser.HTC.Home.v2.0.720719.cab and after a reboot, HTC Home doesn't show on the screen at all, although it does show in Remove Programs. If I remove it in Remove Programs, it uninstalls successfully, and the Home shows after reboot.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting these responses. I went through all the options of the customizer, but see nothing about profile properties, or how to select the phone number to call when adding a contact. Am I SOL because HTC Home is in the WM6 ROM, or am I still missing something?

Right now, the 2.0... version of HTC Home is not working. We are working on it. Until then, you will need to create a seperate contact for a certain number if you need it to be selected. For instance, I want to call Bob's cell but I have 4 numbers for Bob in the normal contact. Now I will just create a contact named Bob's Cell and just have the cell number in there. Then assign that one.

Hopefully we will have the 2.0 version running soon.
