Can't bleeping uninstall Ringo
I was trying to find a software that would let me manage ringtones and apply individual sms notifications. I found Ringo, installed it, didn't much care for it, and went to uninstall it. I get this message: "Electric Pocket Ringo was not completely removed. Do you want to remove it from the list of installed programs?" I click yes, and it remains in the list of installed programs.
What's even more maddening is that no matter what file I set as my default ringtone through the Sounds and Notifications settings, it ALWAYS plays the same one, a holdover from ringo I suppose. But, I can't get it to change. Can someone help me remove this program? Is there a registry edit I need to do to remove it from the list of programs? ](*,) |
Re: Can't bleeping uninstall Ringo
try running the cab again like you are reinstalling it, sometimes it will actually remove the leftovers from the previous uninstall attempt.

Run the reinstall again, and this time when it asks where you want to install it, click cancel.

Re: Can't bleeping uninstall Ringo
just manually uninstall it. Take the cab on your PC and 'unzip' it...it will work. Then find the config file and open it in notepad - that will show you all of the files and registry changes that the app makes. Just go through them one by one and delete them all. it's manual, but it works.
