Software / App ideas

I don't know where else to put this, so I guess I'll put it here. Just post your app ideas of you've go any. I'm not a programmer, but perhaps someday a programmer can pick up the idea.

If you've got an idea, feel free to post it. If you see an idea and have a feature related to it, mention it. If you've seen the idea implemented somehwere, kindly point us in the direction. I'll update this first post weekly with additions.

1. My first idea is a battery meter that decreases backlight automatically depending on battery level. It can be customizable so the backlight decreases depending on battery state. That way you can be saving battery power and at the same time have an idea of how much juice you have left.

2. SIP manager: An app that runs in the program and calls a certain SIP depending the the program in the foreground. This can be helpful for those who prefer finger-type SIP's when writing texts and stylus-type SIP's for like Word documents.

3. Localized Yellowpages: For those who don't have data plans and those who do not want to add Business Names and phone numbers to their contacts, why not a separate app that allows you to add them? You can update it with whatever information you like and it does not show up in your standard contacts.

I'll post more as I think of them.

I like that first idea saqer. Once I finish up my next two projects, I'll take that one on.

thanks!

Another idea is for us TV fans who have certain kinds of programming they can't miss>> An app that connects to certain servers that support TV guide information, downloads it, and automatically makes/modifies entries in the calendar. Maybe even write a summary/synoposis for the calendar note of that particular episode.

I've seen the TV guide thing done on PPC before, so I know it's possible.

edit: looks like it's already been done. trying it now! >> http://the-gadgeteer.com/review/pock...istings_review

A program to get fantasy football (or other sport) box scores from espn.com would be cool. Would be nice to be able to check my fantasy football teams scores without having to navigate espn.com in opera.

The On Demand app on my Mogul (from sprint) has that, I dunno if it's something you're interested in.
