it's getting better and better

I've been using Slide2Unlock for a while now, but I can't get the Slide2Answer function to work. If I enable Caller ID (which is required for Slide2Answer), the answer and ignore functions don't work. The phone will just ring until it goes to voicemail. I have an HTC Mogul by the way.

I have a mogul too. I just tested the s2a and it worked fine.

Hmm... Did you use the cab to reinstall Slide2Unlock from scratch, or did you just install the updated files?

I did a beta on this version for A_C, and believe me...install the fresh CAB!!! It is a lot easier...you have to deal with your reg changes again (or just import/export them), but it is worth it...I had so much going on that froze my phone when I used the updated file that I had to completely remove the app, and when I used the CAB...it seems to work a lot better!!!!

I uninstalled 1.19. Then I installed 1.2

where can we get version 1.2

No problem...I would suggest signing up over at XDA and reading up a bit on it, there are a lot of solutions to problems you may have, and a lot of people to help with new ones.

Plus...if you like the app, you can always toss a cup of coffee A_C's way!!

Just downloaded the cab, and I'm getting this message...." File association is not available for Slide2unlock1[1].20-WM5.rar'," Strange, didn't someone say it worked on their Mogul?

open the RAR file, I had to zip it to post it here, you can use winrarto open it, and then sync the CAB to your phone...would you like the CAB un-rared!!

I did it anyways, I extracted the CAB and read-me from rar files, and zipped them, just unzip and sync, and your good to go!!!

I uninstalled completely and then installed 1.20 from scratch. I still can't answer the phone, same as before. Can someone that has it working post up their registry settings for Slide2Unlock? Maybe I have something set that's causing the problem.

srry i am a newbie. i installed slide2unlock and it works but i cannot get the slide2answer to wrok. i did read it but cannot figure out hot to change the registry to get the slde2answer to wrok. can anyone help? thanks in advanced

I tried that, with CloseApp set to 0 and 1, it didn't make a difference.


Use a registry editor to make the changes. Make the changes under:

\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\Slide2Unlock

i dont know what to tell if you have that then you should be set... do you have any other app that controls the Caller ID like cityID or anything like that if not i dont know what to say...

the only thing that i can think of is 1 a typo or 2 you dont have the Incoming Text string correct... also make sure that key was entered as a string and not a Dword

my CloseApp = 0 as well if htat matters

I too have the Mogul, but I have slightly different settings:

CallerID = 1
Slide2Answer = 0

So far no problems.

i dont actually use those settings lol, i personally dont like the slide2answer i like the answer button hehe i just had it working so i could send the reg his way...

I never installed anything that would control caller ID to my knowledge. I've always used WM's built in caller ID functionality.

The IncomingText string was there on its own when I installed 1.20 and I haven't touched it. I just double checked, it is indeed a String Value and says exactly "Phone - Incoming" with no quotes.

There are registry strings for the backgrounds. Edit the strings so the filename points to the images you want to use and viola.

and for backgrounds you can do it that way... but i just made an image and named it the same as the ones in that folder and replaced them that way i didnt have extra images taking up space

i see two different settings for the mogul. what are correct setting i suppose to use for the mogul. i don't want to mess up anything.

either one is correct depends on what you want to happen..

i want slide to answer..so changing it to 1 ?
also want caller id...so changing that to 1?

my battery meter on the slide2lock screen shows empty. what's wrong>?

callerID = 1 if u want full screen pic... 2 if u want thumbnail (i suggest 2)
slide2answer = 1

WOW!!!! A lot happened this weekend!! I would suggest a 2 for caller ID as well, if you chose full-screen, you have to deal with changing all your images (explained in XDA---I haven't done it). I can't get Slide2Answer to work for the life of me, I am OK with that though, because like wowthatisrandom, I don't care for it either....Slide2Lock is enough for me!!
