Re: A second look at point ui
I posted a video of what they came up with. I would love to see the great people at ppcgeeks get more involved with point ui. Imo it could be far better than tf3d or ms3 with more themes and applets.

Re: A second look at point ui
The problem with PointUI is the lack of polished and consistent applets. Everyone develops in their own style, some more polished than others, but there is almost no unity in applet styles and the overall level of refinement is mediocre.
I think the core team should invest in dedicated applet developers to set an example of applet quality, instead of solely focusing on the PointUI engine itself. |

Re: A second look at point ui
Yep, I feel the same way. Its framwork is solid, but there isnt enough default content to make me feel ike this is anything more than a promising app.
A great deal of Apps take a lot of work to implement. It feels laborious to install some things. That being said, its a pretty sexy UI. Especially since its transitions and screen wipes are a lot smoother than WinMO itself. |
Re: A second look at point ui
my favorite feature of pointui 2 pro is the integrated message center..all messages, be it email or text in one very smooth flick-scroll friendly interface

Re: A second look at point ui

And when PointUI is updated, the people who make those apps have to remake them for the new update The developers of PointUI need to become a little more involved in their product. It has potential but paying $20 isn't worth it at this time. SPB mobile shell is much better UI imo |
Re: A second look at point ui
i have been using ponitui as my default today screen and it's nice but i have to agree the 20 bucks right now isn't really worth it just but i'm using the wm7 theme which is pretty nice i tried the ponitui sense but it didn't seem to work out to well for me i tried it with 2.1 but i wouldn't enable the bottom bar for me but it looks slick

Re: A second look at point ui
I liked the way this program is customizable...But the only things I wanted were a clock, weather, and threaded sms screen...PointSense Suite made my phone lag and barely load...I am using MightyRom 6 as well..

Re: A second look at point ui
If you try silent jokers new rom it works perfect. Plus he supports his roms REALLY well. if you post a question expect almost a immediate response. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=75215
