weather panel question

I have three Sprint TP's activated on Verizon & have WP running in a 2nd today screen in all of them (I use Rhodium TF3D2).

Two of the systems are flashed to merdin's 6.5 ROM & the third is NFSFAN's latest.

In the merdin systems, WP does not make any noise when you click on any function. Although I'm sure it's set up exactly the same way in the NFS system, everytime I click on any function in WP it makes a loud annoying "bink" sound.

How the hell do I turn this sound off?? (it's irritating the hell out of me & the only way I can see to stop it is shut off all system sounds which I'm not willing to do)

Re: weather panel question

I have the bink too, but it's no big deal for me. Is the Events (warnings, system events) box checked off in merdin's ROM? AFAIK that's the only way to turn it on or off.

Re: weather panel question

WeatherPanel beeps using a file in the windows directory called default.wav (I think that's the name). What I've done in the past was to take a copy of this file to my pc, open it in a sound editor - and decrease the volume (a lot). Copy the file back (using a tool that will do that for you) and it will sound nice and quiet. Or you can just remove it, I guess...

There's no way to turn the beep off via configuration, and some ROMS may not have this file.
