Re: TCPMP Windows Mobile 6.5
Ok....I got the video to play a lot smoother by switching the video driver from DirectDraw to GDI (almost as good as the 6700 now). But with this version on some of my files I'm getting "Player: Video codec (Windows Media Video 8) not supported by the player!" while I don't get that on the old 6700 (I popped my SD card into the old phone just to make sure). Also have the same for MPEG-4 Version 2. Any ideas?

Re: TCPMP Windows Mobile 6.5
I got the same error yesterday playing a video I encoded from .avi to .wmv. I encoded it to shrink it to qvga (320 x 240). I though maybe the encoder I used QMC (quick media converter) had an old codec but perhaps it was the player? I usually encode to custom HQ .mp4 but it makes the file a lot larger.

Re: TCPMP Windows Mobile 6.5
Thanx, I was having the same trouble with every version i tried. The one above works fine though. thx again
Edit: Sorry it only opens on mine. when i try to play a video it crashes. Tried a few different file types- avi, divx, mp4, mp3. Also funnily enough it kills my start menu! Maybe HTC sense is interfering with it.. Edit2: This is the last edit i promise! Changed video form direct draw to gdi and works fine now. |
