Need some help with SPB Backup
I decided yesterday that to clear the bugs on my phone I would do a hard reset and start from scratch. I figured since I was doing that I would also flash to a custom ROM. Before I did any of that, I did a full backup with SPB Backup.
I flashed to one of Adrynalyn's Omnia ROMs and everything went fine. But, when I did the restore of the backup, the bugs showed back up. Unfortunately, it is a full backup. So, my question is this...is there a way to restore only a portion of a backup, or does the whole thing have to be restored? It would be nice if I could just restore the PIM details and maybe emails without restoring anything else. I guess the worst case scenario is that I restore everything from the full backup and then do a custom backup of only PIM details and emails, reflash, and then restore that. But I was hoping to avoid having to go through that process. |
Re: Need some help with SPB Backup
cant you just use pim backuo?

Re: Need some help with SPB Backup
on spb, there is a spot for custom backup, you can choose just to back up the PIM data. Email, contacts, calander.

Re: Need some help with SPB Backup
Maybe I wasn't clear enough...I've already done a full backup and reflashed the phone. Now I have to do a full restore unless I can figure out how to do a partial restore from a full backup.
There is a workaround to this...I can do the full restore, then do a custom backup with only PIM data, emails, etc, then hard reset to the base ROM, then do the custom restore. I was just hoping to get around that somehow. |
Re: Need some help with SPB Backup
then on restore, you should be able to choose customize restore, i just did a full backup, and then i chose restore, selected my restore file, and chose custom restore and pick the data you want restored
