Resco Contact Manager
 

I just read an article about the release of a beta of version 2 on wmexperts.

I am going to check it out and report back later. They apparently have integrated some social networking features. I am interested in seeing how this compares to the native social syncing of webos.

After using it I think that it works well but outside of Facebook integration I am not sure that it is any better than some of the free options. Also, I forgot to mention it but this is a trial too, I think.

Does this still highjack the caller id functions with its own phone canvas:scratch:?

In the settings you can turn that off. I am pretty sure that option has always been there. This latest beta has really good improvements but Facebook no longer connects for me. It has worked for the first couple times and then always gives me an error. Hope to see that fixed in the final as I think this is the best contact manager out there.

I looks like it's out of beta... anyone using this with success?
I'm still looking for something that's as good as PhotoContactsPro but with finger-scrolling.

Well, I just installed it- I couldn't wait.
And so far, it's spectacular. Exactly what I was looking for.
The scrolling is a little flaky, but very usable.
Everything seems to be exactly where it should be.

+1 for that. Plus it saves all the Facebook ID's in your contacts.

And all their other data. Really slick. I'm almost mad I didn't find this earlier.
I just ordered a Palm Pre for my second line. I was considering using it as my main device... but honestly, this could keep me on WM.

Wow. This deserves another post.
I'm in love with this app.
This is what every contact manager should be like.
Make sure you get the most recent update if you choose to use it.

It's very good... I just wish there was a way to make the history link @ TF3D home page go to Resco contact history when clicking instead of the standard HTC call history...

Have you tried SSMaHo?
I found it worked really well for that kind of thing when I was using TF3D.
Hopefully someone continues development when we get Manila2.6 working, because I'll probably start using it again at that point.

Yes I've tried it and it seems it doesn't work with the history link unfortunately...

Wow, looks great i like it so far. Only problem i had was that i enable the "handle incoming calls option" and when someone calls me i cant ACCEPT or DECLINE the call, so i disable that function otherwise i love it.

I used it for a while and the facebook integration as well as threaded messaging is good but overall i preferred Phonex which is very fast and great dialler app which handles incoming calls etc. Very big buttons and fast scrolling.
Currently using Inesoft which has grown on me and i find that very good as well, bit laggy but a much bigger interface, Resco is on the small side.
