Thanks

Re: Memory issue

did you install other programs on your phone?
mp3's?
lots of ringtones?
lots of word/excell/powerpoint documents to your phone?
basically what I'm sayin, do you have anything else on your phone?

No, I actually cleared it all off.. did a reset and even a memory reset.. Installed shell, suite, and finance again, when installing finance on my card, it comes up about the phone being low on memory and finance isn't installed correctly.

Re: Memory issue

try checking the memory card on your computer, rather than your phone, see if that gives you a different reading

you can also install cleanRAM see if that helps out, or try installing a custom rom, after a bit of research it seems alot of tmonile wing owners have the same memory issue

Also clear your internet cache....and then have it save your cache to your Storage card. I know Shell installs on the device side instead of Storage card (Internal Storage) by default on the Diamond so its might be the same for your phone.

I don't think you can save that on your card, it goes internal.

Well, storage memory and application memory are very different.. The low memory warnings you are getting are more than likely app memory, not storage...

Biggest thing is to make sure you CLOSE apps when done using them, not just throw it in the background. Also there are some great memory cleaning apps out there, check em out.

Good luck!

can he flash a rom that gives him the option to not install the camera for his phone? I have a mogul with a 6.5 rom with the option to turn the camera off or on ( Kernel). What a difference on my mogul even with all my programs loaded. on average i have 20-21 mb of memory available to run programs when the camera is turned off. If i really need to take a picture i just turn the camera back on.

Try sk tools...its an awesome way to keep ram and such free'd up on your ppc...it also has tools to see whats installed and such...I would highly recommend it. I had the T-Mobile Wing before and it was pretty slow to me until I used SK Tools.....This thread here discusses it in full ;) Hope that helps!!!
