Re: Watching TV on TP
I guess I am just getting old. I never saw the excitement in watching TV on a LIL phone. I have a HD Projection TV Unit that projects on to an 8' Screen. I just wish I could find the TV Out cable for the phone so I could read my contacts on the big screen so I could see em LOL

yea, but the cost of the net to make having the cable chanels on the cpu would outweigh the cost of the net.. I know here, for 10mbs cable net, its almost $50....yet dsl, at 1.5 is $15, but its slower and takes a lot longer to buffer....just my observations edit: post took me to 500 :headbang: |

Re: Watching TV on TP
just throwing this out here but have you tried ORB. Its free and all you have to have is a TV Tuner on your comp or buy one for 10 bucks. The great part about it is it uses YOUR cable so the shows are on time. I use it during the world series and NBA finals. If you haven't, you should....... orb.com

Re: Watching TV on TP
There are hosted Slingboxes, but from what I've seen the prices aren't all that different vs getting cable/dish. Having all the channels available for streaming for a low fee would most likely be illegal. Sure there are a few sites out there that do this but don't expect the best. TVU is also pretty good for tv, a lot of "premium" or US channels but it's p2p--you give some you get some.

Not all TV tuners are compatible with ORB & some work a heck of a lot better than others, but if you get the right one it does work fairly well. ~John |
