That app looks great, I'll have to try it when I get home. What are the limitations of this trial compared to the full version? Is there an option to choose which browser it loads or can it only open PIE? Thanks.

I bought it today. It's very nice and quite smart.

Gx5 is a innovative company who did work primarily for the POS more specifically, their graphics are simply fantastic looking--a real taste of elegance, imo.

This is their first WM product and I give it a thumbs up. :thumbleft: At $6.50, it's reasonably priced.

It's smart because

(1) It's d-pad accessible/simple
(2) The search engines are all optimized for PPC, so the info comes up quick and is properly formatted
(3) You enter in your zip code under preferences, so the info is always localized

Plus, like I said I think it just looks real nice, lol.

I believe there are no differences between the trial version and the full version.

Additionally it appears that the search function is connected to PIE....however there may be a reg hack that one could perform to change the browser.

Odd...I just jumped over to their site to buy it. The product screen shows a price of $6.50...yet when I click "buy" the product price is $9.75.

Can anyone that's tried it on a 6700 tell me if you still get numbers when typing on the hard keyboard's top row?

Edit: Here's what I mean. With the google search plugin on the today screen, if you slide out your keyboard and type inside the text box, you'd get numbers anytime you used one of the top row keys. Does that happen with this program?

Ok...I used the "buy" feature embedded in the program itself (on my phone). Doing that provided me the $6.50 price!

hmm all them website are free

i noticed the same thing. it was a slight inconveinence having to slide open the keyboard everytime i wanted to search for something because there is no option to open the keyboard, but not having the top row accessible makes it unusable. too bad, it seemed real nice too.

I can't use this on my 6700 either, which is too bad as I've been looking for a program like this.

edit: I sent in a bug report as this appears to be a bug, so hopefully they can take a look at this issue.

It'd be much more usable if there was an option to pop up the keyboard in portrait mode...

I don't always want to switch to the hardware keyboard when doing quick searches.

Is there a freeware option to this software? It seems pretty simple. I am willing to bet one of the talented dev's could whip up a app that could rival UltimateSearch. IMHO.
Maybe a app thats not a bloated as the Windows & Google today plugins
... just my 2 cents ...

just downloaded it today..and its pretty nice...i speant about half hour playing with it great find

We shall have none of that talk here...I suggest you pony up the $10 or whatever it is and pay for the app.

ive looked and looked but I can't figure out how to make ultimate search use opera mobile instead of I.E. --- anyone know?

I want to be able to make a custom search...Anyone know of a customizable today search plugin?

this hass its ups and downs...maybe this is me but sometimes when i search dictionary or answers it says not availabe...whats with that

i like the program a lot, but when using it with the HTC home plug, you cant slide the keyboard out, and when in portrait mode, the keyboard covers up the text...so its not really a one hand type app...unless somone knows of a better keyboard to use with it

if you are using HTC home with this plug you can put ultimate search above it on your today screen by doin this reg change:

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Today/Items/HTC Home
change the type to a 4

then do a soft-reset and go into the items tab uner the today icon in Personal settings and move the ultimate search to the top.
this will enable you use the onscreen keyboard and the "GO" bat at the same time.

I have UltimateSearch as a plugin inside ULtimateLauncher & when I tap inside the bar to get the cursor so I can start typing, nothing happens (no cursor or keyboard). Anyone else having this issue & know of a fix?

I have the same problem trying to use it inside ultimate Launcher.

I would buy it if there was a fix for this.

same issue as above... anyone have an alternative search application that would work within ultimate launch... windows live search also doesnt work within ultimate launcher ....

I had the same problem with a windows media plugin that i put inside of ultimateLaunch. If you try using the jog wheel to highlight the plugin, the app should become active.

Windows Live Search works just fine for me in Ultimate Launcher.......
