This version is definitely better than the one provided by OP. As someone else mentioned, the HTC logo comes and stays and the settings screen is smaller, and the fonts don't look so smooth, etc.

Not to say this version doesn't have it's quirks, but it also has the small settings screen as shown below.

I said this is the same exact one in my rom that works perfectly. It has nothing to do with the HTC logo specifically. It is something with the individual's rom. Other people are using this version including Juicy.

Maybe I'm not well educated here, but if I see an HTC splash screen and a HTC-Google powered search page upon start, I'd think it's a modified software.

However, if I see an Opera splash page, and a google powered search home page, I'd think it's a proper Opera. Forgive me if I'm wrong in assuming that.

Regarding the ROM being used, I'm on Mighty 4.6, not 4.16 or any of the latest ones. Been the same ROM since December 2008. So it's not an overlap of versions for sure. I wonder what it is..

I thought you were having all the problems with it stuck on the loading screen.

I am, I tried the other posted version of Opera also and same effect. The loading screen comes up but then it crashes and closes the browser. When I install it asks if I want to uninstall the previous version of Opera but it errors out on removing the old version. How can I completely uninstall Opera all together? Im on the stock ROM.

I have the same problem. I had version 9.5.16277 I believe and it would give me the same issue, except that eventually when I looked, it actually showed 9.5.16277 as the version although it failed, I just had to run a different opera link, like it installed to wrong spot or something, it was weird. I think the version that comes with sprint messes up most future installs from any build that isn't official and the others because it doesn't replace it, but adds an extra instance which is dumb as hell.

If there is any way to remove the one that ships in the sprint ROM itself, then that would probably fix ALL problems associated with it.

The only thing I can suggest is extracting the opera cab and manually extracting the files to the windows folder. I will check the cab for the right permissions and reupload later.

My OEM with working flash is attached. You still need to enable plugins in opera settings, as they are off by default.
