i wouldnt rreally count fennec in this equation, the releases theyve had have been for testing to find all the bugs. i think itll be better or on par w the other browsers once they go official release. my 2 cents.

we can do this poll over in a year and see how IE6, skyfire 1.0, opera 9.7, and fennec stack up:mrgreen:

I'm quite surprised no one has said this yet, Minimo... Without a doubt the worst browser ever to waste space on my PPC...

You know, I'm surprised the results are so spread out... PIE4/PIE6 are still the worst (according to the poll), but it seems none of the browsers are meaning expectations...

I would say some kind of combination of Iris and Opera. Iris for the superior scrolling (Webkit) and Opera for the sophisticated text reformatting. I don't care about flash or server side rendering.

Skyfire does offers VGA support. I use it on my Diamond to view flash pages. Works very well.

Worst browser, probably IE. IE6 id not bad though, I just with it had smoother scrolling

There is a difference between "VGA support" and actually rendering in VGA. Skyfire displays fullscreen, but everything is rendered as 320x240 and simply scaled to 640x480. Ugly, ugly, ugly. And the scrolling and zooming is terrible.

Correction: 1.1.7 does. You just need to enable it in the registry.

I've always had lock-up issues with Iris though. I'd probably use it as default of it weren't for the freezing problem.

There is an option in preferences to "Fit content width by default" and it is checked. Is there a registry-only setting?
