Another UseLESS Iphone app

Tech-savvy mover-and-shaker on the go? With an aversion to standing still, but also an addiction to email that borders on the pathological? (Because actually stopping to send off an e-mail from your cell phone is so last century.)

Fine, have it your way. Go ahead and walk around with your head up your… um, handset. But if you’re going to do that, at least pay attention while you’re crossing the street.

While you might think that would require looking up from your phone’s screen, I’m here to tell you that it’s not so. (Actually, CNET’s the one with the tip.) Email n' Walk uses your phone’s camera as a street viewer and sets the dynamic, moving image in the background as you write an email. This means you can actually wee where you’re going while composing a message.

Could any thing like this be made for windows mobile? It would be kinda cool.

It is kinda neat and looks cool, but would you really want to waste battery life on that? Not to mention that it might be hard to see the font in certain settings.

I don't know about you, but i hold my phone at a downward angle (not vertically) when i text. To get practical use out of this, you'd have to have it almost vertically and people would think you're taking a pic of them lol.

Windows Mobile is more customizable but when it comes to App i gotta say the iPhone is killing everything else i mean there literally is an app for anythng

I personally like the applications myself. I dont email much so I personally wouldnt use it but I'd rather have this on my phone than diamond beer.

lol this thread is an example of the powers of apple's iphone. within 12 hours the op went from "useful" app to "useless" app. even when they release an app that's not so practical, people flock to it cause they've never seen it. at least you realized it's not so useful after all... others see the candy coating and refuse to look beyond it even when flaws are pointed out.

Say i did start walking around while using this... wouldn't that only make me more prone to getting hit by a freakin bus from either side of me?

Don't we have enough people who drive and text at the same time? This will sadly increase that.

I know one way that would entice me to want an app like this. If they somehow merged sms and mms.. that way you could take a pic of what you see while texting and send it like that, words overlayed and all -two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, we won't see anything like that unless many brands united to make that a universal text feature.
