Re: OneDialer - Google Voice Internet SMS and Dialer

i thought thats what the case was and i just verified by texting someone from google voice online without telling them who i was and when they replied it was picked up by my phone and then i further replied from my phone this time and they still didnt know it was me due to only seeing my google # which i hadnt made public yet. so i can verify you do not need software for google voice sms. What i dont know is if you can initiate google voice text sms from phone without additional software such as one dialer.

yea, I played a little, but it's hard by yourself. ;( lol

the problem I saw with this method is there's know way to know for sure, messages to that # from both your real# and gv# get threaded together.
no smartdial in this app have heading over to idialer finally. (for someireason ibeen avoiding that one)

Well I have two phones so what I did was sent my self a text to both my regular cell # and my gv# both showed up in my sms box I replyed to my other cell from both numbers straight from my sms box my regular # showed up and my gv# showed up in the text msg so your gv# shows on its own on a reply text msg no worries there. Now to text straight from your gv# you have to go into one dailer click contacts wait about 30secs for it to load your contacts than text them 1st so IMO its best to just keep there 1st sms to be able to reply back freely and not go into onedailer if them 30secs gonna bother some ppl hope this helps

Wait, this is with OneDialer, or with just the phone?

If I got a text from somebody to my gv# it comes straight to my phone didn't need onedailer for that. To start a fresh text msg to someone who you already never had sent a text to and not in your sms box at all you will need onedailer for that

And another thing I found. When you go to onedailer and click menu all your old sms you received and send is there under sms history and you can send sms right from there to save some time from your contact list loading up. This might help someone

so aside from google reading our voicemails and reading our text messages is it safe to remove text message plan from my vzw account and inform everyone to text me at this # which they will hopefully do as google doesnt charge for texts and verizon shouldnt notice what im doing with google.

if your ok with email then sure.
I personally really like getting the voicemail txt's right to my phone, much faster than email, imo.

something I noticed with trying these dialers is that idialer and onedialer both generate the call via google voice, meaning it's an icomming call. good news for those with free incomming plans. :)
gvdialer dials out directly from to phone, to gv, then out from there. takes longer, and generates too much call log activity.

Ok I have free incoming calls so are you saying if I go to onedail to my contacts and googlevoice call them FIRST its considered an incoming call? If so please explain if you can.

yes, onedial and idialer send the number you wish to call via data, gv will then call you on your phone(s), when you answer it(gv) dials the other party. so it becomes an incomming call on your phone.

WOW! Amazing! So with my free incoming calls plan and my gv# plus onedailer I pretty much have "unlimited" calling. Hahaha  I shall be hitting thanks :headbang:
