It it possible to block your number while sending a text message

I don't think you can do it from your phones SMS. You can go to websites like http://smseverywhere.com/ or http://www.txtdrop.com/ and send texts to other phones. They won't know your number that way. You could even probably do it using your phones browser, so you don't have to be at a PC.

I know about txtdrop, it works great. I just wanted to be able to use my phone, I guess its a lost cause

Maybe you could go to sprintusers.com or one of the above metioned sites from your mobile browser and send one. I haven't tried. Someone was making apps that stripped down websites and made them exactly what you needed to see for things like myspace, maybe he could make one that just gave you the box for who to send to and what you wanted to send and you could just load it up like a regular text app. I'm not sure, you would have to ask him, he seemed interested in requests, I will try to find his thread.
