Weatherpanel problem
 

Over the last week, I am having a problem with WeatherPanel. During the middle of the night, it goes crazy with the map updates, downloading a map every minute. By the time I wake up, there are hundreds of map files. As soon as I adjust the "purge after" setting, it cleans them all up. I have tried changing the setting for "Hourly Fix", but that seems to have no effect on this problem. Has any one else seen this? Know of a fix?

Does it do this with all of your images? Are you getting them all from the same source? What's your current purge setting at? How often are you updating?

I'd probably uninstall WP....do a soft reset...and then reinstall (making sure you have the latest version). On the reinstall WP will ask you if you want to keep your settings make sure you say "yes". Then do another soft reset.

- Images are from different sources
- Purge is 6 hours
- Updates are at 30 minutes

I did the uninstall, soft boot, reinstall dance. Same problem.

Maybe try flashing back to the stock rom and see if you have the same issue.

Yep, but that's a last resort. I'm hoping to avoid that.

Are you using my Weatherpanel fix? Is there an program called FixWPHourData in your programs group?

I'm not using yours (I don't think...). I'm using the WeatherPanel 2009 cab, and it does have an hourly fix, but the values are all listed in minutes (1,3,5,15 minutes).

I finally changed the settings so the data connection is off at night, and that prevents the problem.
