Warns if your stylus is out when you turn off your phone, hopefully saving you from losing styli! .. especially if you are already on the spare one (how nice of HTC to give a spare!)...

Nice, looks pretty cool. Sounds kinda similar to this one that ive been using for the past 3 months.

NoStylusWarning (some warning when stylus is probably lost) - 2nd release Hi All,

Unfortunately I lost the original 2 stylus. Don't ask me how, but they were disappeared somehow. So based on an idea from someone on a Hungarian Touch HD forum I wrote a small and very simple application called NoStylusWarning. It is simply monitoring the stylus state and if you set up some warning then it can put a notification onto the task bar and vibrate when e.g. the device is moving.

Improvements:
- language file support (xml)
- sound notification
- autostart
- partial solution for full hiding (background processing)
- vibration on stylus state change
- last settings are saved to the registry, application will load them on startup
- cab for easier installation
- some minor redesign

Features:
- notification icon and balloon for switched on device
- vibration for suspended device
- monitoring g-sensor to detect moving
- monitoring light sensor to detect stylus loosing in pocket/pouch
- running in unattended mode to detect events in suspended mode
- smart minimize (X using your default setting, to minimize, use the menu)

Ill give yours a try also. :) Thanks,
dschoenike

the main difference is that nueStylusWarning doesn't continuously monitor your stylus position and only checks when you press the power button. also - nostyluswarning is written in .net, this is written in pure C for optimal memory usage and efficiency..

Thanks for the explanation no2chem. Your app has been working great for me, and is definately more practicle than nostyluswarning, for my needs. Thanks for another great tool for our phones.

Re: [5-3] nueStylusWarning - Warns if your stylus is out when power off

When I got my first WM phone , the mogul I could not keep up with the stylus always getting lost. I have lately been leaving it out of the TP when charging usually after getting a call, text or email. This will be nice to let me know its out. I dropped the stylus the first day within 30 minutes of unpacking and went to work no stylus and then found it back at office where I unpacked it. Styluses are like tools in the trade never know where it was left.
