Looking for a nicer Interface

I have a HTC touch from rogers, about 2 years old. Running Windows 6.0 I believe.

Anyways, my buddy just got himself the HTC touch pro and I love the UI. I figured I would just install that version of windows on to my phone but I get a message from the HTC website saying my phone is not compatable with that software.

This kinda burns me up a little. I looked at Ultimate Launcher, but I cant seem to make it take up my whole screen, it only uses the botom 1/4" which is just ugly and cluttered looking.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

You may also wanna take a look at Throttle Launcher.

Hmmm, that throttle launcher doesn't look like it's compatable with my phone. Touchflo3d is the newer stuff, isn't it?

Remember mine is the older HTC. My contract is up for remewal soon. So I could just wait and get the new HTC in a couple months. I just wanted to pretty this one up a bit for the time being.

I got the ultimate launcher working properly but now i have this empty space on the bottom of the screen that looks funny. I need to fill it up with some useful plug ins. lol

hello,

not sure if this will work on an older htc, but the spb mobile shell would be a great replacement shell. and they do have some older versions that may work for you. there are a couple of threads here and xda about it.

hope this helps.

If you like Manila on the Touch Pro, there's a version that will work great on your Touch called Manila 2D. You can get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398173

TF3D will not work on Touch. Manilla is compatible. Over at XDA-developers, nir36 had an Ultimate Launch setup that looks like the Diamond interface.

Re: Looking for a nicer Interface

Here are the requirements for Throttle Launcher. I realize you have an HTC Touch not the Pro. That's why I suggested this software, it supports WM 5 devices and up. It doesn't need TouchFlo to work, it actually mimics TouchFlo through it's own interface and skinning. Anyhow here is the requirements.

Prerequisites For Throttle Launcher

- Phone enabled device (Themes for non phone enabled devices can be built though)
- CPU: 200 Mhz
- Storage Memory: ~2 MB (depends on the themes installed)
- Main memory: ~ 5 MB
- NET.CF 2.0 installed. Though 3.5 is strongly recomended.
- Windows Mobile 5.0 or Greatter.
- To use flash plugin you need flashplayer 7 installed.
- Any device manufacturer is supported!!
