Not an earth shattering upgrade but more of an incremental one, but it is the latest and greatest, enjoy!

KNOWN FIXES SO FAR: "Version 3.0.1.5 was released on April 22 to fix a bug that broke background location updates on Symbian S60 devices and caused some inconsistency issues on Windows Mobile devices."

A changelog really would be nice, then you don't update unnecessarily for some nonsense thing you don't care about.

The updates usually work just fine, but there is always a chance that an upgrade doesn't work right & then you're p!ssed that you didn't "leave well enough alone....."

Yay! It fixed the updating location in the background issue! I had issues with the WM beachball popping up all day on the previous version. Solved it then by turning off "use GPS" because it was killin' my battery too.

Ive searched and searched and im not finding the difference in this version. For all thats installed this, im wondering if it does what my buddies phone does. He has a G1 and in street view, it actally rotates the view as you rotate the phone. Almost making it like a camera, only its street view. Kinda virtual like. He saysd it pulls of the towers, but i dont see that possible for a tower to know wchich way your pointing the phone. Im figuring its using GPS. Still cool as hell though. I was wondering if someone can try street view and see if it is like what im describing or not.

It actually uses the accelerometer (g-sensor) to pan around in street view, and as of now I believe that feature is android specific. Really cool though, hope we'll get it eventually.

Yeah, its one thing hes got on me. Actually its a pretty cool phone. Hes got a ak47 app thats SWEET. Back to the topic, has anybody founf the changelog yet?

I've never been able to get the update in the background feature to work, I wonder if Sprint is blocking it.

i did a little research on this and found some comments on googles own message board pretty much saying that CDMA carriers wont work in the background. don't know if it's something they can't do or won't do. i'm with sprint and if i could get latitude to work, it would take google maps to the next level.
