WM Live Search GPS

Currently everytime I use the live search app on my TP, i have to first change location, tell it to select current location, wait for it to get GPS location, save the current location, click yes when it asks me if I'm sure i want to overwrise "current location" and then I can go ahead with my localized search.

I was wondering if there was anyway to set it up so it always knows that the search needs to be in the current location unless told otherwise. That would make the app so much more smoother to use

An app as complete as the Live app, and one that works would be called the Holy Grail app. God isn't going to let us have the Holy Grail app so easy. So, I'm guessing we'd have to wait till a fix is available.

Yeah, that's one of my pet peeves with it too.

If you come across any fixes let us know.

Me too.

It keeps starting with Seattle, Washington. IMHO, while that is OK for the very first time it is started after installation, from then on, it should start with your last known location.

I find that once you run it for that first time, you can hit the "change location" link, and specify the starting location you want. I have been doing that after every new rom flash and it seems to work just fine.

I hate the fact that half the sh*t doesn't work for Canada.

im sure a fix will come out soon. I had an instinct previously, and the instincts live search was setup to automatically use your current GPS location. it was so fast and reliable, thats where i hope the PPC version of the live search app gets to.

on some phones Live Search has a "locate me" feature that automatically finds you prior to searches. On my htc touch pro, that is not supported. I can trick live search into showing that by running it first with the phone off (in airplane mode) but even then it says it can't work. I have no idea what phones are supported and why mine isn't, but it gives me hope knowing the code is there and COULD work in the future.
