Just an FYI to people that the dll doesn't really need to be hexedited to make the weather change. This reg entry will make a static host mapping:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\htc.accuweathe r.com] "ipaddr"=hex:40,3e,9e,6c Basically, that entry is all "Pocket Hosts" does when you use that method. Considering this entry can be automatically added by the cab, and easily edited later (say if the server they are currently reidrectlng to goes down or changes hosts) it seems like that would be a much better method. With a hexedited dll future edits become a lot harder. emunutz you could also add that reg entry to the customizer app as well--and as server changes are needed could apply the corrected entry via updated versions of the customizer. Just a thought. I posted this in the software forum as well but thought I should spread the word. |
First of all, thank you so much for scripting this, its great!
I'm having an annoying problem that I hope someone will know how to fix. I read this whole thread but wasn't able to see anyone else with this issue. When I have a new email, the email notifier icon will display a "1" or a "2", but when I click on the icon, it takes me to my poutlook "MMS" inbox instead of my poutlook "Outlook" inbox. I have to hit the dropdown arrow at the top of poutlook and find the correct folder. I tried poking through the registry to see if I could change this, but I wasnt able to find anything that stood out. Anyone have a fix for this? btw, I'm using the PPC Geeks MMS patch for the 700wx and it works flawlessly for sending MMS messages. Thanks, nick |
its been mentioned i think here but definately on pdaphonehome's forum. Add another email. you could even add a false one, and set the option to manual check. adding another mailbox will bring up the select mail screen

i dont quit follow how to do the reg edit in this one. I think I will wait for the cab when its available

Guys I have Emunutz .06a working in it's full capacity on my phone. Download the file below and replace your existing .mscr in your folder. Emunutz we need to work on a program to automatically install new themes for this Home Plugin. This program is great! ftp://ppcgeeks@ppcgeeks.com/Apache/U.../homecust.mscr Here is my screen shot: http://upload2.postimage.org/103736/capture.jpg |

What are you referring to as far as automatic themes? I've been thinking about trying to get a dedicated host for the appearance/theme packages and linking the file list from the host to the customizer, if that's what your referring to. In the meantime, I'll probably separate the artwork from the main package for the next release. |

then i reinstalled but it still doesnt work. any suggestions? |
Emunutz all I did was change the HTCHOME in the .png from \HTCHOME to \Windows. All the rest I left alone. I have thuroughly tested all except the re-install part and works 100%.
the automatic themes part you are on the right track. I was thinking have the prog pull from a themes folder and then each theme under it's own folder and sub folders. We would have to mess with this a little to get the wm5 program to work. I think it would work though if the program just copied the theme folder images to the main \windows directory where the home plugin pulls from. |
