im not sure if you can change it from the yahoo settings, i just uninstalled and reinstalled...and its one of the first questions in the set up...it will ask for your country...

Dude check out the about information and you will see that the ppc version for windows mobile is version...20060817a. thus this is version 2 that you wanted. and yes our version 2 is different since we are on a different platform. if you want the series 60 version 2 then buy a series 60 phone.
