Missing DLL when installing ActiveSync 4.5??
 

I'm trying to install ActiveSync 4.5 (downloaded from Microsoft). I have not connected to my mobile device (PPC6800) yet. I get the following error message:

Error. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

My information:
Logged in as Administrator to a single home computer.
Windows 2000 SP4
Pentium D 3.xGhz
2 Gb Ram

Any help would be appreciated.

HEY im havintg the same problem.......when i try and up the disc in and dl it it says the version of DLA that i have will run but i wont be able to add or edit.

Then when i try and go to it on the website to get activesync it goes on to dL but right at the end it says its an error with my Digital Signature.....and it wont finish dL!!!! IM SOOOO UPSET i dont kno whats goin on....

so IF find out anything as well PLEASEEEEE HELP ME AS WELL!! :(

SOLUTION: Needed Windows Installer 3.0. Free download from Microsoft's web site.
