How to extract an icon from a dll?
I guess this is really a 2 part question...
1) Does anyone know how to extract an icon from a dll? 2) Once I extract it, how can I place it into another icon set? I am attempting to put a couple of icons for programs I have into an icon set so I can change the tab icons in SPB P+. Any help? |

Re: How to extract an icon from a dll?
I use the program Icons From File http://www.vlsoftware.net/exico/.
Just drag the .exe or .dll file into the upper pane and the icon(s) will show up. Then save and that's it. They're 32x32 bitmap images though, so you might have to touch them up in Photoshop or GIMP if you're going to increase the size. |

Resource Hacker works as well.

I have used resource hacker, and it is easy to use, IMO.

Works great, it's free, and it can also extract from .NET applications. |
