Animated icons for WP

How do i go about getting them to work? I downloaded the .exe file from Marsware and have tried putting them into the appropriate folder vis Syncing but they still dont show up. Im currently using Malatestas City with the default icon, id like to get those little animated ones to work. any ideas on this?

Install them from your desktop and they will extract the icons into the marsware\weatherpanel\icons folder

Not all icon sets are animated ones.

Go here for animated icons:

tried that. tried making a folder with them inside under the "icons" folder and i also tried putting them directly into the icons folder, doesnt show up either way when i go to WP. only shows the default and the animated icon folders are still showing up as an .exe file. should the sync convert them...?

you have to install that exe file...it should be labeled as a cab....on your device..press the icon to install...answer yes to the warning...this will extract the folders you need.

^ Perfectly said. The file you download is an .exe file. You unzip the .exe file, and expose the .cab file. You then transfer the cab file to your device via activesync or storage card, then install to desired place, (storage card, device), and hit yes to the warning. BAM. Then go to icons and switch it up.

how exactly do you unzip a .exe file? i thought files needed to be in a .zip format to be unzipped. then the .exe (or CAB when on the phone) file is what comes out of the unzipped file.

is there a way to unzip a exe file?

install winrar and the right click on the exe file. the menu will then give you the option to extract the files contained within.
