Dang I guess I'm going to have to buy it as I love this app. Are there any significant changes with v1.0.0.0 from the last beta 0.18.0.0 I think?

I read over at xda-developers, that the only difference between the paid ver and free ver, is that you have to wait 10 seconds for videos to play with the free version. The developer said it himself. If that's the only difference, i can wait 10 seconds.

Im with ya on that. This is the first app i ever testesd and gave feedback on from day one, and actually stuck with it. Came as a pretty big surprise when i updated last night, and saw the registration # box. :( It's a great app, and the guy deserves to make some $, i just feel a little let down, kinda like when wmwifirouter went down the "pay for me" road. Ill probably end up buying it just for the simple fact i use it every day, and the dev seems like a nice guy.

I hear ya on that... but i really tend to stick to the free apps lately. Just cant justify putting out cash for all these apps at this time. :)

Totally agree. $10 here $20 there sure adds up. I just really felt bad for the dev of WVD, when he said he hadn't received a donation since October. Honestly, i just think i'll sleep a lil better at night knowing I helped out the dev, who probably put a lot of personal time into something we all can use and enjoy. Unless i get laid off then it's free version all the way ;) jk

About that wait on the free version.
The more times you download, the longer the wait gets.
I got up to 20+ seconds last night. And after a couple of downloads, a "Thank you for using, now please buy" message comes up.
Also, after a couple of DLs, the Manager hangs on the last second. It doesn't screw up the 3GP file and you can still play it. That never happened before. Maybe it's another free-version "feature". I'm going to check this out on XDA.
Otherwise, I've gotten more than $15 worth of entertainment from this app, and I'm willing to pay him for his work. Especially since he says he'll let you transfer the program from one phone to another now when you upgrade without paying extra.

It looks like wvd has been updated again! now to 1.2.0.0 I afraid to upgrade in the event it's paid again but I said what the heck and did. It appears to be free still. wvd is definitely worth a donation for sure!

All of a sudden you have to pay for something that was freeware just a few months ago? Well that's a big "F YOU" to the people who donated now isn't it?

Talk about greedy. He makes a program that downloads FREE videos, gets donations for it, then decides he wants to profit from it even further. For 15 bucks I'll just go to the website where the video is hosted.

Oh and not only that, but "Updates for 1 year with no additional charge"? If someone paid 15 bucks for this they should have access to any updates from here on out. Seriously, this is not that great of a program.

yes I agree but its free again. he only asked for 15 bucks with 1.00 release but now 1.1 and 1.2 appear to be free again.

I keep the free version, because several people could not pay for it. Also I found some bugs.
If I release a paid version, All donors will receive a free license. Thank you

in retrospect, my words were probably too harsh. I was in a bad mood this afternoon, but my opinion remains the same.

I think it's awesome you went back to offering it for free. Selling this software might also leave you open to a lawsuit from every video provider in your list.

I loaded TCPMP but it's running very slow. I'm trying to figure out the settings.
