Re: [5/22] htcAddicts- cleanRAM v1.3.5 (bugs fixed)

I came to post the same thing. The time I'm taking to install and reinstall this is about the time I save from not soft resetting :)

Ok, updated the op now. (sorry, I was out of town for the weekened)

Also, I reworked the op a little to fix some of the "bugs."

I didn't mention it because it still works (and works well, especially with WM 6.1) on devices that don't use tf3d. However, I've now just deleted my description (it was a little dated anyways) and used yours Ronen. I did make a small note that it does work great on touchFLO-less devices.

He also doesn't mention that it works great on pretty much any WinMob device. I just updated it on my 6700, and it works wonders with 64meg!

I didn't think I had, or needed, to. I thought that it would be assumed to work for any WM devices unless otherwise noted. I just sorta thought it'd be easier to list the devices it doesn't work on, rather than create a list of all that it does (which I think is all of em).

Also, I don't even think it is WM 6+ specific. JAVIERBOND69 even reported in an earlier post about a previous version, that cleanRAM worked on his WM 5.0 device. That's why I thought a list of exceptions, rather than confirmations, would be more beneficial in the op.

However, I'm not the almighty ruler, and my word isn't law, so I'll post/add/change/remove anything Ronen wants me to. Just wanted you guys to know that I had thought this stuff though and I had reasons; however, that last thing I'd ever want to do is not to give this app justice.

Re: New Version Available :)

I'm almost scared to update, lol. I always feel like there's another version right around the corner.

However, I'm pretty excited about this:

OTA updates? pretty cool, Ronen, pretty cool. Hopefully this'll help us be able to keep with you, haha.

Edit: Just tried it. Really quick by the way. It did say the last version is 1.3.7 (just checking, you guys know ronen). I'm wondering what it'll do when there is an update. Will it give us the option to go ahead an download it? Will they be hotfixes? Or, standalone versions? Can the new versions be installed over the previous ones, or do you still recommend we uninstall past versions and soft rest first?

Edit: Oh, updated op of course, and another fun fact: Donkeys kill more people annually than plane crashes.

Hola!!!
Thank You :)

Its will download the latest cab version in \temp\ temporary folder and then automatically execute the cab file (with WM installer system - no need uninstall first).

Ok, next issue is that some users asked from me to set a new registry value of temporary folder (instead of "\temp\"), so I build a new version with this registry value, called: saveUpdateFileToTemporaryFolder="\temp\". so once again, a new version :)

Changelog:
  • Version 1.3.8 - Added: Add new registry value (saveUpdateFileToTemporaryFolder) to define the temporary update folder (optional)
