Confused with Spb Mobile Shell v1.5...
I just started using Mobile Shell a few days ago. I really like the look of the program, but I can't seem to find a way to Customize what is in the tabs. If I go to it's setting and click on one of the tabs, there are no options there, other than just moving the tabs around.

Which tabs? The stock tabs just set themselves up when you click the tab. For instance, when you click the weather tab, it opens and says select city.

Click and hold a tab. You'll have the ability then to select "options". Click on options. This will take you to Spb Mobile Shell settings. It'll show your current tabs on the left and the following buttons on the right; "Move up", "Move down", "Options", "Replace", "Add", and "Remove".
These are pretty basic. To add a new tab click on the "add" button. From there you'll get the option to select a "today item" and an icon. IIRC you can only have 5 tabs. Hope this helps. late, Coz |
Yeah, I'm just talking about the Stock Tabs. Actually, I never did try to create my own... I've just been reading about people who have put thing like WeatherPanel in a Tab, and I'm dying to try that.
-Touche' p.s. By the way, do YOU have any idea how to get 3D Black Top & Bottom Bars on my Mogul. Every black theme I try makes the bars go matte. |

WeatherPanel in a Tab
I can put weather panel in a tab no problem, but it appears the only way you can have weather pilot running at the same time is to put them both on the main today screen, is that correct? I don't see how you can put both on one tab.

You don't need to "see" WP-Pilot in a tab for you to use it. Just set up Weather Panel under one of your tabs, then go to your today screen preferences and check the box for WP-Pilot. This will enable it's use. This is how mine is setup and works flawlessly.

SPB Mobile Shell does utilize a substantial amount of battery. All you need to do is set a few things inside the tabs and tweak a little. There are several programs out there to help out with battery life while using Mobile Shell. For example "Keylight" is very useful. Just run a search and look through a few threads.
