TrapCall - Unmask Blocked Calls!
Possibly only for T-Mobile and AT&T!
Ever wanted to unmask an unknown number calling your cell phone? Well, go ahead and sign up for TrapCall (FREE)! I just signed up. What they do is change your call forwarding option from your voice mailbox to their phone number (I am guessing voice mailbox will still work of course). Once you decline an anonymous call, it'll go to their #, then your phone will ring again with the REAL number this time! How cool is thatttttt!!?!?!?!? One thing that you do need is call forwarding from your provider... tl;dr- unmask private callers to your cell by signing up for free here: Signup Link: https://www.trapcall.com/signup Main Website: http://www.trapcall.com/ how they make money?: there are different plans besides the free one. some you can get the name of the anonymous number, and some you can even get billing name&address. they also have dif calling goodies like spoofcard and liarcard... |

Re: TrapCall - Unmask Blocked Calls!
This seems like the answer to so many people looking for an app to do this. I would have thought this thread would have a lot more traffic. Here's a short explanation from Gizmodo:

Re: TrapCall - Unmask Blocked Calls!
I tried signing up for the free service. They don't have support for Sprint yet.
|
Re: TrapCall - Unmask Blocked Calls!
they likely never will because Sprint charges for call forwarding, unless you like paying $.20/min....
same reason sprint users cant use services like youmail, well unless you wanna pay $.20 every voicemail you get, that can add up fast. |

Re: TrapCall - Unmask Blocked Calls!
You can call Sprint and have them statically change your voicemail setup. You can specify a third-party voicemail provider, like callwave, or in this case, TrapCall.
Normally it rings to Sprint's voicemail service, but you can most definitely have it changed, and at no cost. There are tons of threads on it, and I forget the specific term you have to ask for, but there is some phrase you can use when talking with a CSR on Sprint, to get the swap made for free. Just keep verifying that you won't have to pay. Also, make sure that whatever it is that you want to switch to is really good enough, because I don't know how keen they are on switching back and forth. |

Re: Unmask Blocked Calls!
I'm gonna check this out!! I wonder if this will allow numbers to be used in VZW's new 10 # free plan. I have a friend that has all their #'s restricted, so it would be nice to see what number they are calling from so I can call back or just so I know who I am getting when I answer!! Their house phone is restricted as well, but they usually use that one the most, so I have to wonder if it is enough for the number to be revealed in this way for it to be ticked off as a free call!!
I'll update what I find out, but I wanted to post what I was thinking in case anyone else knew already or could use this like that but haven't thought about that yet! edit: Apparently it doesn't support VZW yet either. I signed up and got the message my registration is started, but they don't support VZW yet, so I will be updated as they work on it....bummer!! |
