Re: Virtual Shotgun
I use a product called Pocket Programming Language from www.arianesoft.ca - The forum there contains a post on how to use the HTCSensorSDK.dll file within PPL.
Thats all I used; Mike. Come along and see us, we are always glad of new forum members and PPL users. :) |
Re: Virtual Shotgun
Wow, I didn't even know there were alternatives to Visual Studio.
Looks very nice, but I've been working with Visual Studio for too many years to switch. :) |
Re: Virtual Shotgun
Not sure how much difference there is really. I know that PPL (language wise) is very similar to C++ and the IDE while not as polished as VS, has the bonus of running on the WM device so development can be done while mobile without the need for a laptop or PC being used! :)
Its still a very young product, but the guys at Arianesoft are constantly improving it and fixing any bugs that are identified. Give the trial version a shot and see if it can help you? - I had never programmed for WM devices before touching PPL. Now I create all sorts of stuff. Check the forum for things the guys have created with PPL, its impressive for such a young development language! Mike. I wont use anything else (Even if it can't be done in PPL - I will make it work in PPL! lol ) |
Re: Virtual Shotgun
You can develop ON the phone?
|
Re: Virtual Shotgun
Oh yes, you get an almost identical interface on the phone as you do on the PC! :)
Its great for quick development ideas, but some of our users actually use it all the time on the phone and never on the PC. Mike. |
Re: Virtual Shotgun
I'll have to check it out when I get home. I already do too much WM dev at work with VS, but I have that installed for my job anyway. I'm not too sure if they'd like if I installed this. ;)

Look at acceleromter.cs in the "samples\managed\BounceDemo\Wrappers" folder for the way how to use it. It's pretty straightforward, shouldn't be a prob to port this to PPL. |
Re: Virtual Shotgun
did you get it to work on the omnia yet......sounds cool as hell
|
Re: Virtual Shotgun
Hey Mike, how about one like the AirHorn, since the 6700 doesn't have a sensor.
Thanks |
