I don't know what they did with the new MyPhone, but its so much faster than before. It used to take about a second to upload each text message. Considering I had over 4000 texts that would've taken a while, not to mention it kept on failing at a certain point and began to upload duplicate texts. The new version uploads texts hundreds at a time which is awesome.

I hope they improve the online interface though. It's really clunky and hard to manage your texts with the website.

all chefs should now put this in there roms and if you haven't signed up already, i HIGHLY reccomended it. WAY better than pim backup or any other backup program i used, and WAY faster. It just doesn't back up your call history but i don't care about that.

Dashwire works good for me other than it took a few for the first run...16 gig card.

So am I understanding that this uses the one and only email account known as Outlook E-mail? And if I'm using that for Google Sync I cannot use Myphone? They both are using that "exchange" account for syncing?

Just checked and it's working fine on IE - it just won't work on Firefox. Strange.

I have used this off an on but I am finding less use for it. I rely mostly on Sprite to backup my device. Is anyone using for anything other than backing up the contents of your PPC?

I love myphone, i have mine set to sync like 3am and dont even know when its done. All I know is when i wake up in the morning its done and the integration to my windows live account makes myphone awesome for me.

Everything is under one account ... from contacts to docs backup

well, my contacts ... email/phone contacts are both synced with my live account. when i log into my live account on my phone all those email and phone contacts automatically download to my phone contacts etc. Im guessing since its microsoft you dont need to have both live and myphone backing up the same contacts twice.

Is there a way to get it to sync all your outlook contacts into myphone, so that I can stop using my work's outlook, because it is forcing me to have auto-device-lock now, which I disabled, but I don't want to do that anymore incase my phone gets lost...

well export your contacts to your windows live account. and from there they will be on your live/hotmail/msn account. its the same thing i did initially.

When I used the program a few months ago it deleted all of my messages after a month....

Is there any way to temporarily disable the Exchange server so I can sync up my contacts and whatnot?

I'm running on an exchange server for my emails, contacts, and calendar.

My Phone has a 10,000 text message limit just like dashwire. What is up with that number? Text messages cant seriously take up that much room.

Someone tell me if Im wrong but I noticed it does not back up my favorites on my People tab. It does not back up my email account. I have to "add new account" once its done after flashing a new ROM. And my call history is not restored. Are all 3 of these things excluded by MyPhone?

yeah this has happened to me but very rare. If you have a lot of text messages backed up (i have like 1300 lol which i am working on deleting) you have to go into text messages and let the list finish populating and you will be okay.

The application continues to pull the messages completely out of order after every flash and it is annoying me from here to mars. I don't think I'll keep using it.

And I don't know what Young_breedent means... I go into Text Messages but they just continue to be out of order, thanks for the reply though. :)


It lists first ALL messages of the other person and then ALL my messages. AGHHH! ](*,) :disgust:


Update: OK. What I did was to erase all the messages, changed the phone to classic mode and restarted... Then I downloaded all the messages again. After they were on the phone again I changed the text messages back to threaded mode and then I saw the list get populated in the right order... However, having to do that every flash is kind of annoying. Yes, I know, I'm a pain in the ***.

Got an email from microsoft today to try the released version of this. Downloaded the cab to my Q9C and would not sync. I wonder if this is only a PPC app? I might have to try and load it on to my Diamond and see if it works.

Works great for my Tilt. Glad I read this post to lost my hd not long ago and all my contacts with it now I have a backup place to keep them.

spb backup backs up your applications? I used to use spb and all it backed up was stuff like contacts, texts, emails, call history. thats what this program does minus the call history. I wish MyPhone was out when I lost my phone at Coachella. It wasn't so the best thing I had was a spb backup from november :(

no, MyPhone does not backup application. however, it does back up; contact list, # , text, pictures, and some other that i dont remember.
