OctroTalk no longer free, what else?

I've been using Octrotalk faithfully for over a year now, but they recently updated and now it costs $30. It's not worth $30.

Can someone recommend for me a good FREE messenger program? I prefer those that can sign in multiple messengers but the most important to me is gtalk.

Thanks.

I think i would like palringo...but i have alltel/verizon and it never would connect on my Touch:-( There was a known issue with the Alltel 6800 i gues the 6900 was included too.

Are you sure you did everything correctly?

I thought Palringo was having an issue before I realized that I had to sign up for a Palringo account before I could add my AIM, Yahoo, GTALK account info.

yea. palringo's the best. think, "i gotta make this work" and u'll get it working. don't give up too quick on the best. anything else and u'll be cutting yourself short.

beejive is the cutest though, but palringo has the most features. depends on what you like more, beauty or specs.

this always reminds me of iphone vs. ppc, one's cuter...but the other's definitely the more dominant pda.
