Google has actual exchange properties now that can be set up through activesync!
Look here ---> http://www.google.com/mobile/winmo/sync.html Makes me wonder why I took the time to set up Nuevasync. This has the exact same service from my perspective. Is there anything Nuevasync does that this doesn't? --EDIT-- Just tried google sync on my mogul. Just syncing my calendar is a sux. Nuevasync and their multi-calendar support ftw! |

Thanks Shaggy and Palooz for your updates on the programs! User experiences are exactly what we need to help us determine which backup/sync apps we choose. Please feel free to post opinions/experiences with other apps as well. :)

Re: FREE Programs that sync contacts, calendars, etc, (Updated 5/12)
Ok so lets see if you geeks can help me with my sync issues. I'm trying to OTA sync with Oracle Calendar Server for free. They offer the synthesis client (Oracle Mobile Data Sync aka Open Mobile Alliance - Data Synchronization aka SyncML) free for 30 days for WM users (darn those Nokia & Ericsson phones that have built-in capability and do it for free!) If i had a SyncML client that let me configure all the server options, this would be nice, but not all clients will sync with oracle calendar server.... The only free way i can see right now is to either download the synthesis client and do a one time sync that includes all past and future events, and then nueva sync that to google...but this wont update the oracle calendar. The oracle calendar can make a public share of the calendar which google calendar can read, but not write to...so no go on the two-way sync there. The only two-way sync option is to include my desktop computer and use outlook as a go between. There is an outlook connector, but they already admit this is buggy. Which leave oracle calendar native desktop client for windows/linux as my only option. Anyone have other ideas? Thanks in advance :)

OMG! Atreyu! Naw, valcor (falcor? OK, so, i didn't read the books...) isn't hiding out back...thanks for taking me back, though!! Excellent movie...
Though, they have an iphone app for syncing with oracle calendar called Todo+Cal+Sync. The Blackberry app is SyncJe. These are the settings i need to set for some SyncML Client. |
