Find my Car
Has anyone seen a windows moblie program like the iPhone Parking Buddy or Find my car? If your not sure what these are you can log your gps position where you park your car. I thought this could be handy at sporting events or parking at shopping malls.
Thanks, WP |

Re: Find my Car
I open up Google Maps, enable Blue Tooth and then create a favorite for the car's current location.

I looked through the xda thread and it looks like this designed for qvga. Anybody tried it on vga yet?

Re: Find my Car
whatever happened to just remembering where ya parked?

Re: Find my Car
I use livesearch and do choose new location, current gps location, name it parking spot, then when your looking for your car just do directions from current gps location to parking spot. Done. No need for new app.

Re: Find my Car
It really does work without using any extra memory. For the person about remembering - I am at a number of stores throughout my work day and at the end of a long work day, I find myself tired. Was it parked here? There? Here? Over there? On the side? In the back? So by setting it as a favorite for that particular time, the question is mute. After getting in the car, delete the favorite so that next time...

Re: Find my Car
If I am parking for a long trip @ the airport I have been known to snap a shot.
It's geocoded and uploaded to flickr for me via shozu. That, and the photo of it sitting under the big *** "YOU ARE PARKED IN SIR-LANCE-A-LOT" sign usually does it for me. But yeah for the amount of parking I do, simply remembering works most times. |
